Snape with Thorp Parish Council
Annual Meeting – 9 May 2019
Item 17: Representatives at YLCA meetings
Communication from YLCA stated that an item should be included on “the annual meeting agenda to appoint up to two councillors to attend the Hambleton YLCA Branch and to represent the council as voting representatives at those meetings. Only councillors and clerks who have been formally appointed by their council will be permitted to vote at Branch meetings and be able to stand for appointment to the YLCA Joint Executive Board”.
In response to this it was agreed last year that any member of the council or the clerk if approved to represent the Council at a YLCA meeting should be deemed to have been given authority to vote on the council’s behalf.
It is recommended that this approach is adopted again.
