NOTICE OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

Snape with Thorp Parish Council

Agenda for a Meeting of the Council to be held on Monday 22 August 2022 at 6.30 pm in the Snape Institute  

1. Apologies for absence – to receive apologies
2. Declarations of interest – to receive any declarations of interest in agenda items
3. Minutes – to agree and sign the minutes of meeting held on 18 May  (copy attached)
4. Matters arising
   1. Speed activation equipment – to receive a report from the Clerk
   2. Contingency plan – item to be deferred to next meeting
   3. Jubilee tree planting and burial of time capsule – to discuss and agree format of signage
5. Police report – no representative of NY Police can attend the meeting but a report has been produced (copy attached)
6. Playing Field -  damage to goal posts – to discuss and agree next steps
7. Financial matters –

1. To approve the receipts and payments since the last meeting (see attached finance report and reconciliation)
2. To note hours of work undertaken by the Clerk since the last meeting  (see attached finance report)
3. To discuss whether to take up the Option to opt out of the SAAA central external auditor appointment arrangements – correspondence from YLCA has already been circulated
4. Letter from the Pensions Regulator (copy attached) – to note report from Clerk and to agree action

8. Highway matters –
   1. To note response to request for 20mph speed limit on Ings Lane and to agree next steps
   2. Overhanging branches in the Avenue – to discuss and agree approach
   3. Parking issues – to discuss and agree approach
9. Request from Thornton Watlass PC regarding recent fatal accident – to consider request, already circulated, and agree action
10. Planning applications
    1. To note the following have been approved:
       1. 22/00875/LBC - Listed Building Consent to insert a new doorway in the East wing wall between the kitchen and dining room (replacement of earlier blocked door connecting the two rooms) and the reinstatement of a former doorway between dining room and library -| Thorp Perrow Hall Thorp Perrow Bedale
       2. 22/00847/FUL - Replacement single storey extension, internal alterations to reopen doorway. Reroofing garage, rendering in stone and rebuilding rear wall – Springfield, Ings Lane, Snape Planning application documents for the above can be found at https://planning.hambleton.gov.uk/online-applications
    2. Prices Paving and Stone Ltd – to review any updated information and agree any action
11. Website – to receive report from the Clerk and agree any action
12. Newsletter – to agree content of the next newsletter
